London Concours 2026
Day one of London Concours saw thousands of automotive enthusiasts descend upon the historic grounds of the Honourable Artillery Company as the event celebrated its tenth anniversary. With the opening day themed around Porsche Perfection, Boxengasse played a key role curating an exquisite display of Sonderwunsch models that showcased the pinnacle of Porsche's bespoke programme.
Despite some rather questionable weather, crowds gathered for two public debuts. Boreham Motorworks unveiled the new Ford Escort Mk1 RS to the public for the first time, while Elektron Motors revealed its Quasar hypercar. I must admit that I’m not normally a massive fan of restomods but Boreham have nailed it - the level of craftsmanship was immense, and the green carbon fibre details sealed the deal for me!
The opening day also saw the Best of Show award presented to a beautifully restored 1976 Lamborghini Countach LP400 Periscopio. Whilst there were plenty of worthy contenders, including personal favourites such as the Gordon Murray T.50 and the Lamborghini Murcielago SV, the one of 157 LP400 "Periscopio" was a deserving winner. The LP400 is widely regarded as the purest and most desirable expression of the Countach, with it being both the earliest production version and the closest to the original concept.
People make these events just as much as the cars and it was a pleasure to spend the day engaging with like minded enthusiasts who share a common passion. Below are some of my highlights from the day, I hope you enjoy viewing them as much as I enjoyed capturing them.
