Goodwood Revival 2022.

This is Goodwood Revival. A collection of the Worlds most exclusive period metal in one of the best known, historic motorsport venues. This being my first Revival, I was given heaps of advice from friends who had been before, but one recurring message became clear - ‘you have to dress up!’ One tweed suit down, I set off on the Sunday for the two hour drive with a few friends down to West Sussex.

One thing you have to know about Revival - always check the car park! After arriving, we were greeted with an array of stunning modern and classic cars. Everything from E-types and DB5’s, to 911’s and even an Aston Martin DB3.

The Revival festival has an atmosphere unlike anywhere I’ve been before. Thousands of people coming together to celebrate vintage fashion, cars, planes and culture. There is something to see for everyone - rows of clothing stores, the motorsport paddocks (which even the general public can get up and close to), an impressive aeronautical display, movie theatres and even a carnival! If you go for the cars, though, you have to be trackside. Personal highlights include the Ferrari tribute race (where multi-million pound Ferrari’s race wheel to wheel with one another), the Sussex Trophy cup and the St Mary’s Trophy, an event which might be the most exciting race I’ve ever seen.

Revival is an event like no other. From the moment I arrived to the moment I left, I had a massive smile on my face. I do hope I can return for two, or even the full three days next year. For now, I leave a compilation of some of my favourite images from the day. I invite you to sit down with a cup of tea or coffee and flick through them. Till next year, Revival.
